Job board, applications, and résumés
The Jobs page shows Dakota’s job board, provided by Vars Health, the staffing platform Dakota uses, inside this website. The same board can also be opened in a new tab on Vars Health’s site. Either way, the board loads from Vars Health’s servers and loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so viewing it connects your browser to those services. Apply Now applications are completed on the board in a new tab. Submit Resume, which works on the Jobs page or in the new tab, sends your name and email address, and your phone number and résumé if you add them, without choosing a job. What you enter on the board, including any résumé you upload, is sent to Vars Health, not to this website. If you save a job on the board, the board keeps that list in your browser’s storage. Request Staff form
The Request Staff form sends what you enter (your facility and contact details, staffing needs, and any notes) to Dakota’s business email, info@dakotahealthcarestaffing.com. Resend, an email delivery service, delivers the message and keeps a record of the emails it sends. Dakota’s mailbox is hosted by Microsoft 365. When Dakota replies, the reply goes to the email address you entered. Requests are not added to Vars Health automatically. Please don’t include patient names, medical information, or other health information.
Spam protection
To limit spam, the form checks how quickly it was completed and includes a hidden field that people leave empty. The website also checks that your email address’s domain can receive email. It allows up to 5 requests from one internet connection in each 10-minute period. To count them, it stores a one-way code made from your IP address (not the address itself) with Upstash, a database service, and the count is deleted automatically after about 11 minutes.
Facility Login
Facility Login opens the facility portal, provided by Vars Health, in a new tab. You enter your sign-in details on Vars Health’s site, not on this website.
Chat assistant
The Dakota Assistant chat runs in your browser and answers from information on this website. What you type isn’t sent anywhere or saved, and the conversation clears when you refresh or close the page.
Hosting and technical data
The website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs of requests to the website. Fonts and photography on Dakota’s own pages are served from this website.
Optional website analytics
If you allow it, Dakota uses Google Analytics to measure visits and which pages people view. Google receives technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location, page address, and referrer, and may use analytics cookies. Dakota does not send what you type into the Request Staff form or chat, or job applications and résumés, to Google Analytics. Analytics does not load on Dakota’s pages until you choose Allow analytics. Your choice is saved in your browser; use the cookie button or Analytics choices in the footer to change it. Dakota does not use Google Analytics for advertising personalization.
Services involved
Vercel hosts the website. Resend delivers Request Staff emails. Upstash stores the spam-protection count. Microsoft 365 hosts Dakota’s business email. Vars Health provides the job board, job applications, résumé submissions, and the facility portal. Google Fonts supplies the fonts on the job board. Google Analytics measures use of Dakota’s own pages only if you allow it.
